Flowers very snall, usually 5-merous; sepals shorter than the petals; male flowers with 5 stamens inserted below a prominant disk, usually with pistillodes; female flowers usually with staminodes; ovaries usually glabrous and 1-celled; styles usually 3, free; stigmas more or less capitate. Drupes pale, glabrous or tomentose; mesocarp resinous, adhering to the bony endocarp.
