Plants caulescent; stems stout, o 400 cm tall, sparesely branched from the base. Leaves about 20, crowded in a rosette at the tops of the stems, about 60 cm long, 8 cm wide, sword-like, furrowed above, acute, grey-green, unspotted; margins with a white cartilaginous border and blunt white teeth; teeth about 1 mm long, 2-10 mm apart. Inflorescences about 60 cm tall, with 8-10 spreading branches, branches 6-8 cm, flowers fairly densely distributed, the clusters cylindrical in outline; bracts about 3 mm long, 2 mm wide; pedicels 5-6 mm long.  Flowers yellow, nutant; prianth about 18 mm long, 5 mm wide across the ovary, outer tepals free for about 12 mm; anthers exserted to 4 mm; ovary about 5 mm long, 2 mm wide; stigma exserted to 5 mm. 

Aloe gracicaulis  grows in Juniperus-Buxus-Dracaena forest at 1250-1600 m. It is known only from region N2 of the Flora of Somalia.
