Plants much branched subshrubs, up to 00 cm tall, stems densely covered by somewhat floccose whitish hairs. Leaves subsessile, 10-40 mm long, 4-15 mm wide, elliptic, distinctly serrate to dentate or entire. Pedicels 3-12 mm long, ascending to erect; sepals 6-11 mm long; petals 9-18 mm long, about 5 mm wide, pale to deep violet; stigmas with short, laeral projections. Siliques 7018 mm long, 2-3 mm wide, straight to slightly cureved; valves keeled, extending into a rather wide horn up to 2 mm wide; seeds not winged, 1-1.5 mm long, subglobose.
Diceratella smithii grows on rocky, limestone slopes ar 200-1380 m in regions N1 and N3 of the Flora of Somalia and in the Ogaden of Ethiopia.
