Plantssuffrutescent. Leaves alternate, entire. Inflorescences axillary in upper leaves, of solitary or paired flowers, brateate and bracteolate. Flowers bisexual, 5-merous; tepals 5, obscurely 3-veined, all similar in form; stamens 5, their slender filaments alternating with large, elliptic-oblong, obtuse, pseudostaminodes; ovaries with 1 ovule; styles slender; stigmas capitate. Mature fruits not known.
Polyrhabda includes only 1 species, Polyrhabda atriplicifolia. It is endemic to western Somaliland.
