Plants annual herbs 10-50 cm tall; stems glabrous. Leaves odd-pinnately compound, with 9-17 leaflets; leaflets oblong-obovate, truncate to emarginate, mucronate. Inflorescences pedunculate umbels; bracts ligulate, about 1 mm long, with purplish tips. Flowers: corollas yellow, 7-17 mm long. Fruits 5-10 cm long, 3-5 mm wide, beaked, beaks 1.5-3 cm long.
Coronilla securidaca is native to the Mediterranean region but was established in Pakistan when its flora was written. It is treated in the flora as Securigera and included in the Papilionaceae.
