Plants annual herbs, 35-120+ cm tall; stems erect, sharply 6-angled, sparsely to densely hairy, the hairs spreading, up to 2 mm long. Leaves petiolate; petioles 2-12 mm long; blades narrowly ovate with prominent veins, up to at least 40 mm long and 14 mm wide, subglabrous, bases attenuate, tips acuminate. Primary inflorescences in open acilallary cynes along the setms, the entire plant resembling a lax inflorescence, leaves in the inflorescencs gradually smaller to the wnds of the branches, the uppermost narrowly triangular-subulate with thin, white margins, 4-5 mm long, about 0.5 mm wide; bracts markedly unequal, linear-subulate, about 12 mm long, enlarging to 15-20 mm long in fruit; lobes
