Plants solitary, stemless. Leaves about 20, 40-45 cm long, 7-8 cm wide, strongly ascending, acute, upper surface broadly channelled, lower surface convex, both surfaces bluish-grey, sometimes with scattered pale spots, distinctly striate; margins with triangular teeth 1-2 mm long, 15-22(-60) mm apart, closer near the base. Inflorescences to 70 cm tall, almost always simple but very occasionally iwth 1-2 branches; branches 18-22 cm long, elongate, conical, rather dense; bracts 15 mm long, 4 mm wide; pedicels about 3 mm long. Flowers: perianths pale red, about 30 mm long, 5 mm wide across the ovary, slightly curved, scarcely enlarged at the base. outer tepals free for 6-7 mm; anthers exserted up to 2mm; ovaries 5 mm long, 2 mm in diameter in fruit; stigmas exserted 2-3 mm.
Aloe lindenii grows on gypsum or limestone at 200-700 m elevation. It is known only from regions N2 and N3 as defined in the Flora of Somalia (basically eastern Somaliland and northern Puntland).
