Plants solitary or forming fairly large groups. Leaves about 20, about 50 cm long, 11 cm wide, lanceolate-trianglulate, ascending-erect, somewhat curved, rigid, pinkish brown; margins with redd teeth; teeth about 2 mm long, about 20 mm apart. Inflorescences about 100 cm tall, with up to 5 branches; branches 6-11 cm long, bearing flowers in dense, shortly conical to subcapitate racemose clusters; bracts 8-10 mm long, 4 mm wide; pedicels 6-7 mm long. Flowers brilliant red, shiy, pendent; perianths about 27 mm long, 8-9 mm wide across the ovary, outer tepals free for about 7-9 mm; anthers exserted 3-5 mm; ovary e about 7 mm long, 3 mm wide; stigma exserted about 6 mm.
Aloe bella grows in coastal sem-desert with low shrubs and scattered low trees, mainly Commiphora, on limestone at 0-100 m elevations. It is known only from region N3 of the Flora of Somalia.
