Dorycnopisis now includes 2 species, one of which, the one occcuring in Sudan, Ethiopia, Somaliland, Somalia, and Yemen, used to be included in Vermifrux asVermifrux abyssinica. Its name in Dorycnopsis is Dorycnopis abyssinica. The description above is for Vermifrux. The other species of Dorycnopsis, Dorynopsis gerardii grows in the western Mediterranean.
