Plants slender shrubs. Young twigs densely covered with sessile or subsessile scales, these sometimes mexed with stiff glandular and eglandular hairs. Leaves alternate on young shoots, clustered on older branches; petioles up to 3-4 mm long, densely farinose; blades 4-40 mm long, 3-25(-30) mm wide, elliptic to obovate, both surfaces farinose or glabrescent, bases rounded to cuneate, tips rounded or retuse. Racemes with few flowers; rachises 0.8-3(-4.5) cm long, farinose; bracts trifid, central segment reduced; pedicels 0.7-1.5 cm long, farinose. Sepals 4, 0.5-1.2 cm long, about 0.4 cm wide, ovate-elliptic, outer surface farinose, margins puberulous; petals 4, with claw 6-7 mm long and oblanceolate blade 4-5 mm long; androphore 7-9 mm long, appendage 6-7 mm long, tubular, apically enlarged stamens 5, filaments 1-1.4 cm long, anthers about 3.5 mm long; gynophores 0.8-1.2 cm long, sparsely covered with subsessile or shortly stalked glands; ovary 4-4.5 mm long, 0.5-0.8 mm in diameter, farinose, stigmatic region sessile, flattened. Fruit 2.2 -4 cm long, 0.2-0.3 cm in diameter, cylindrical, densely farinose.
