Leaves linear-lanceolate, 6-15 cm long, 1.2-3 cm wide, acute. Calyx lobes 4-8 mm long; corollas usually pink, sometimes white and red; tube 12-20 mm long; lobes 20-25 mm long, obtuse. Follicles 8-15 cm long, 0.5-1 cm wide, erect,reddish brown.
Nerium oleander is native from the Mediterranean east to China. It is also widely cultivated, including in Africa.

Habit: Shrubs or small trees with white latex.
